Cat 3/5/6 led by John Farnham

An earlier generation of Wheelers would have taken a little rain and a light breeze in their stride but the current generation decided to wimp out en masse following an unfavourable weather forecast, leaving a hardy group of 8 riders to go forth as a combined group of Categories 3, 5 & 6.
With little rain but a reasonable tail wind we made decent progress through Wareside, Much Hadham, more or less straight across at Little Hadham lights, Albury to Furneux Pelham where the turn to the south west brought a bit of a headwind and slightly heavier rain. However, being the hard core group of Wheelers we made light of this and soon got through Braughing to the tea stop in Puckeridge.
After being efficiently fed and watered at Something Lovely café our return route in only light rain was via Latchford, Barwick, Wareside back to Ware. 28 miles, fortunately no punctures or mechanicals. Most of the regular club run members missed out on a decent ride!
