Category 6 ride led by Tony Dos Santos

Twas a Sunday morn of sheer delight, not a fright in sight. The meadows were blooming, the sunlight was bright on this - Oh delight. Enough of that faff! Eight hardy riders set off from Hertford  at 9:30  sharp. Not a thing could go wrong, the sun was out, the sky was blue and my heart wasn’t blue. We travelled south at a nice gentle pace. Nothing could go wrong, I heard myself cry, until 8 miles down the road, when Danny Hood’s pedal snapped off! Damn, we tried to fix it, to no avail and Danny turned around and went home. 7 left and all in good spirits. We arrived at the cafe, Daniel Horn, as normal, had a full fry up (vegetarian, he added) whilst the remainder had a snack. A quick turn around as normal in The Cafe in the Orchard. We rode off and I heard the shouts of “puncture”, I turned back to see Chris had a puncture and Daniel handing out a red card, I hear you cry “a red card in cycling”; but yes, Daniel had spotted Chris’s tyres were showing the cording showing through on the outer walls on both tyres. Robyn, Kate and Kevin were standing 100 feet away, tapping their shoes on the ground, thinking they could have been in bed fast asleep (ok so they weren’t doing anything like that, but sounds good). Luckily the tyres had not split, we soon fixed the puncture and were on our merry way. A lovely ride back, with no further issues. Nice to meet Kevin Paget, I hope the toe heals quickly. All in all, a nice ride and great company. Thanks all. Love and kisses. Tony.
