Old Skool Cup (no specialised TT equipment)
Eight riders assembled to contest the club’s annual Old Skool Cup, where no modern day TT equipment is allowed. Riders left their aero machines in the shed, with most using a standard road bike in order to comply with the rules. A number of the bikes presented to the starter were genuine old bikes, fully in the spirit of the event. It was quite windy out on the course and the machinery affected the times but in an enjoyable event the honours were taken by Paul Stewart in 25:14, followed by Gareth Wignall in 26:12 and Sam Ball in 28:18.
