Club run reports - 23rd March

Four riders set off from Allenbury's with the hope that rain would stay away until we got home. We had a lovely ride out chatting away, a bit of mist but still quite warm. I managed to remember to charge my Garmin and didn't get lost once. After a coffee stop at Cafe Mocha in Bishops Stortford, the clouds were circling and a couple of miles into the return journey, the rain poured down. We rode on knowing the return journey was not too long, but disaster just outside Hunsdon, when Mark got a puncture. We all stood around in the pouring rain whilst it was fixed. David came in handy with his whizzy electric pump. Wheel put back on, only to discover the tyre was flat again. Two more inner tubes later, it was finally fixed and we headed home very wet. Glad to be at "dolce domum" as David said. Thanks for the company, David, Peter B and Mark.
