Cat 3/5 run led by Barry P
Only four riders of which only one raced left Cole green for a shortened ride through the sunny lanes of Herts, without a stop as nowhere was open . Within 5miles of home the threatened rain and gales caught up with us and gave us a free jet wash - 40miles.
Cat 6 run led by Mike E
Batman v Superman? - Batman every time. I much preferred the camp 1960's TV version of Batman to the Superman films. Easter v Christmas? - Easter wins hands down. Less pressure, less hassle, less cost, more daytime, fewer relatives, fewer people drinking MY beer, and better weather. Well maybe not the weather as the cat sixers found on Easter Sunday. They were hit by a horrendous barrage of rain and sleet on leaving Bishops Stortford. It was horrible - brain freeze without the pleasure of the ice cream. Was this a bolt sent down upon us from the time trial gods? Thankfully it lasted only a short while. Other than the diluvian interlude, there is little to report save a dislocated chain. The repaired chain now has more temporary than permanent links. 14 riders and 30 miles eggs-actly.
