Club Runs 15th March 2015

Cat 5 ride led by Cathy
12 riders in total. Bruno decided to take a short cut to the café and Barry accompanied him.  Paul also left early. The remaining 9 of us went to the café, most to the ride against strong cold north-easterly wind.   After lunch, we lost Sara, Patrick and Mark.  Lesley too went home as she wanted to check on her new dog, so that left 6 of us.   Eventually, Wendy peeled off and then John took the old A10 back in order to avoid Barwick Ford, leaving 4 of us. No punctures or other events.

A nice easy ride today to Emily's where we enjoyed some nice refreshments. The rain forecast never materialized and no mechanicals made for an enjoyable ride that got us all back to base camp nice and early.
It was nice to see Simon back out on his bike again and the ribbing I took was well up to the usual high standard.

Out via Dane End, Walkern, Hitchin, Stotfold to Farrowby Farm (Hinxworth).

Back via Ashwell, Redhill, Walkern, Watton.

53 miles on a cold day with a 10mph NE wind.
