Club Runs Sunday 30th August 2015

Cat 3 run led by Barry
Eleven  started the shortened mystery ride to Royston ,but soon stopped to watch a demonstration on how not to fix a flat. Alex and Darren left us before Royston , leaving seven to eat  at cafe Moreno .A circular route out to the east of the A10 and back on the west made 55miles, no rain as forecast !!
Cat 6 run led by Bob
14 riders set off from Hertford but only managed a couple of miles before Chris suffered an explosive puncture which blew a hole in the side of his tyre, requiring major surgery before we could continue. Fortunately there were no more incidents before the group reached Church Farm, Ardeley, where a reserved Garden Room awaited. No-one had told the wasps that it was reserved however!
Suitably refreshed the group headed for Watton at Stone, Datchworth and home.
John H  suffered a puncture at almost the same spot as the earlier puncture, but we decided to abandon him when he said it was a long job to change a rear wheel inner tube on his Brompton!
Nice to see Judith out again, and a plucky guest Debbie, who was brave enough to borrow Martin Buckle's bike for the ride!
