Clubruns 17th August

Demanding, or what?  And that's just the easy ride.  Some awful conditions, and a crash, and a puncture, and a broken chain, and a split tyre.  And not all the same person.  Hope CB's hand repairs itself soon.  Was painful just to look at it. Took three of us ages to work out how to fix DH's chain back into place.  How can something so easy present so many problems?  We spent a lot of time with Christina by the side of the road, as she came to terms with her damaged hand.  We eventually got going to the cry of "someone's punctured".  More time out.  Arriving at Ardeley was almost an anticlimax.  We were met by Cap'n Bob who'd been there so long, they were going to charge him rent.  The meds had a good ride albeit punctuated by punctures.  And they hit the same storms as the easies.  Most of the time the weather was good although a bit windy, but when it was bad it was really bad!
