Club Run Reports Sunday 8th May 2016

On what was the hottest day of the year so far,  11 wheelers set off from base camp heading for Cafe Mocha. Out through the Hadhams and up the hill to Upwick green and then down through Farnham into Bishop's stortford. Refreshments taken it was then back to HQ via the usual route of Pig Lane, Spellbrook and Widford.
Beautiful sunshine, a gentle breeze and no major mechanicals made for an extremely enjoyable ride.

Today we had 14 riders & myself set out from Hertford for our 65 mile ride to Ivanhoe Beacon in the Chilterns.

It was a really hot day but it seems from the feedback this did not deter the enthusiasm as everyone enjoyed the route and the challenge.

There was some beautiful scenery to be seen and some lovely villages passed through, we had two punctures and one mechanical breakdown but it did give us some respite from the heat and overall made a great day’s riding.
