With Phoebus staying in our sky for that bit longer at the moment, the led group extended its range, taking in Much Hadham, Standon and Haultwick. Just before the crepuscular shadow emerged, it took in Sacombe Hill for a final bit of fun. 20 riders and 28 miles. Four also rode unled.

Bored by the coverage of the Sepp Blatter mularkey, or more likely, buoyed by a bright warm evening, over twenty riders assembled at Allenbury's. Fifteen joined the led ride to Allen's Green and back. Not even a minor incident to report over the 25 miles.

A stubborn chill persisted all the ride from Ware to Bunters and back, via Barwick Ford & Great Munden out and Furneaux Pelham, Braughing & Barwick Ford on the return. At the stop the group of 16 split between the two cafes, depending on their preference for solid British fare and sophisticated continental patisserie. There were no incidents, mechanicals nor sightings of rheas. The sun finally appeared when riders were home, showered and settled in front of the TV watching repeats of Hi De Hi and Ever Decreasing Circles. 16 riders
